Male Shopper runned-over by Pick-Up Truck Driver at HEB

A male, age 72 years, shopping at HEB was runned-over by a 2007 black Dodge pick-up truck driven by a female person, age 66, immediately outside the Drug Store front entrance on Saturday afternoon, December 31, 2016, at approximately 1:56 P.M. in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The female driver lost control of her pick-up truck and hit the male shopper and dragged the victim until the truck came to a stop at a store wall in the Lawn and Gardening Outdoor Pavilion.  The male shopper sustained injuries to his legs and body as a result of the freak accident and was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

The accident is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department.  The names of the pick-up driver and male shopper have not yet been released by the Eagle Pass Police Department.

The male shopper had to be transferred to a San Antonio, Texas medical hospital for treatment as it is alleged he has a broken leg requiring surgery.
