Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino Patron stabbed in parking lot

A male patron, Arnold Polendo, age 48, at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino was stabbed three times in the abdomen in the casino’s parking lot on Sunday, January 29, 2017 by his common law ex-wife, Vanessa Amaya Romayor, age 34.

Polendo was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for medical treatment of his injuries.

The female assailant fled the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino parking lot and a look out was placed on her.

Maverick County Sheriff Department investigators located Vanessa Amaya Romayor on Monday, January 30, 2017 at a local retail store and arrested her and charged her with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a felony offense.  Amaya is detained at the Tom Bowles Detention Center and is awaiting to be magistrated by a judge.
