Governor’s Small Business Forum to discuss opportunities in the Eagle Ford Shale

The State of Texas Governor’s Small Business Forum together with the Dimmit County Chamber of Commerce are hosting a one day conference discussing opportunities in the Eagle Ford Shale on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 10 A.M. at the Pan American Event Center, 3421 Texas Highway 85, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, announced Paula Seydel, Executive Director of the Dimmit County Chamber of Commerce.
“The Governor’s Small Business Forum on opportunities in the Eagle Ford Shale is open to the public and is designed to give entrepreneurs and small businesses valuable tools, skills, and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s fast paced economy in Texas,” said Seydel.
The forum will provide a great opportunity to network and connect with industry specialists, government officials, service providers, and other regional businesses in the Eagle Ford Shale oil and gas play region.
The October 1st Governor’s Small Business Forum in Carrizo Springs will feature presentations on how to do business with the oil and gas industry, how to network with Eagle Ford Shale businesses, safety in the workplace, small business development, business finance, retirement planning, and presentation of the State of Texas Small Business Awards.
Representing Governor Rick Perry at the forum will be Larry Ruggianno of the Office of the Governor who will present Governor Perry’s message to Texas entrepreneurs and small businesses. Carrizo Springs, Texas Mayor Adrian De Leon will welcome the forum attendees.
State Senator Carlos I. Uresti will be a special guest at the forum.
