TUNSTALL HIGHLIGHTS ECONOMIC IMPACT OF EAGLE FORD SHALE BOOM AT 85TH ANNUAL CHAMBER BANQUET

Dr. Thomas Tunstall, Director of the Center for Community and Business Research, Institute for Economic Development, The University of Texas at San Antonio, highlighted the economic development impact of the current Eagle Ford Shale Oil and Gas Boom in South Texas at the 85th Annual Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Banquet held Friday, February 10, 2011, at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade.
Dr. Tunstall stated that there will be a boom in the Oil and Gas industry due to the Eagle Ford Shale. His presentation had various insightful projections for the Wintergarden area and its economic impact.
Also at the 85th Annual Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Banquet, the new 2012 Board of Directors and Officers of the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce were installed, including William Davis as President, Claudia R.Wright as First Vice-President, Sandra Ruiz-Rodriguez as Second Vice-President, Roberto Mireles as Secretary-Treasurer, Rodolfo Barrera , Lourdes M. Perez, Juan F. Espinoza, Kendall Scott, Mark Garcia, Raul Treviño, Jr., Humberto Garza, Alma V. Velasquez, Larry Martin, all as Directors.
Enrique Montalvo was named the 2011 Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year at the 85th annual chamber banquet.
