The Lowe’s Heroes Program started extensive remodeling work on the Girls Scouts building on November 1, 2011. The remodeling was possible due to generous donations by City Councilman Rudy Villalpando and the Law Office of Michael Miller.
During the presentation, the Girls Scouts and their parents thanked Lowe’s General Manager Seth Garza and his employees for everything they did to completely upgrade their building.
“The Lowe’s Heroes Program is a company wide initiative that offers Lowe’s employees an opportunity to work on a project in their neighborhood to help the community become a better place to live, work, and play,” Seth Garza said.
“This year the Lowe’s Heroes Program volunteered their time and skills to brighten up the Girls Scouts Educational Facility,” Garza said. There was a total of 30 volunteers from Lowe’s who helped in making this project a reality.
City Councilman Rudy Villalpand stated he is honored to support the young girls and Girl Scouts in the community enhance their educational facility and leadership capabilities. “Today’s Girl Scouts are tomorrow’s leaders,” Councilman Villalpand said.
