Middle Rio Grande Development Council 2018 Annual Board of Directors Meeting Held August 21st in Eagle Pass

The Middle Rio Grande Development Council (MRGDC) 2018 Annual Board of Directors Meeting was held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade, announced Ronnie Rivera, Director of MRGDC Workforce Solutions.
Outgoing MRGDC Board of Directors President Ramsey English Cantu (Mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas) welcomed the nine county member organization and its Board of Directors and Partners to the 2018 Annual Board and Council Meeting to Eagle Pass, Texas.
New Officers elected to the MRGDC Board of Directors include Henry Garcia of Brackettville, Texas as President, Maverick Conty Judge David R. Saucedo as First Vice-President, Dimmit County Judge Francisco G. Ponce as Second Vice-President, Zavala County Judge Joe Luna as Third Vice-President, Uvalde County Judge William R. Mitchell as Secretary-Treasurer, and Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey English Cantu as Past President.
The newly sworn-in MRGDC Board of Directors approved the new 2018-2019 Fiscal Year Budget for the MRGDC at slightly over $16 Million for all its activities and programs in the nine county member region. Counties represented include Maverick, Dimmit, Zavala, Uvalde, Val Verde, La Salle, Real, Edwards, and Kinney.
The Middle Rio Grande Development Council was established in 1970 to serve as the regional planning commission and council of governments for the Middle Rio Grande Region in Texas.
