8th Annual Battle of the Badges Boxing Event to be Held April 14th in Eagle Pass

Eagle Pass Youth Center Director Alfonso Mallen announced that the 8th Annual Battle of the Badges Boxing Event will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 7 P.M. at the City of Eagle Pass, Texas International Center for Trade, featuring amateur boxing fights between members of local and out-of-town law enforcement agencies.
Amateur boxers from the U.S. Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection-Eagle Pass, Carrizo Springs, Laredo, Del Rio, and Rio Grande Valley (McAllen) and the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Department will battle for supremacy in a fun-filled rock and sock ’em family entertainment event on Saturday, April 14th in Eagle Pass.
Pre-Sale Tickets at a cost of $10 for children and $15 for adults are available at the Eagle Pass Youth Center, Panchito’s Super Market, Peter Piper Pizza, and Six Pack Stop. Admission at the door will be $15 for children and $20 for adults. Get your tickets early at the discounted Pre-Sale Ticket Price.
All proceeds raised will benefit the Eagle Pass Youth Center, formerly Boys and Girls Club, for their important youth activities and projects in Eagle Pass.
Mallen stated that food and refreshments will be available at the event for the public and that a live musical concert following the event will feature “Grupo Carnaval.”
Doors at the International Trade Center, located at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas will open at 6 P.M. and the bell for the first fight of the evening will be at 7 P.M. All boxing aficionados from Eagle Pass, Piedras Negras, Del Rio, Brackettville, Uvalde, La Pryor, Crystal City, Carrizo Springs, Laredo, Rio Grande Valley, and San Antonio are invited to attend an evening of live boxing fights between the finest law enforcement officers on the United States-Mexico border.
