18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer Rolls Over on U.S. Highway 277 North in Maverick County, Texas

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department reported an 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer rolled-over on U.S. Highway 277 North on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, approximately 11 miles north of Eagle Pass, Texas at 5:15 A.M., near the Radar Base area in Maverick County.
The driver of the 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer was transported by the Eagle Pass Fire Department EMS to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass for medical treatment of his injuries.
The Tractor-Trailer caused the closure of U.S. Highway 277 North for about two hours until 7 A.M. when a heavy duty tow truck arrived at the scene of the accident to remove the 18 Wheeler from U.S. Highway 277 North to a side of the highway, allowing traffic to go through one lane.
The Tractor-Trailer was loaded with merchandise and goods at the moment of the accident and another trailer had to be brought in to unload and reload the merchandise from the rolled-over trailer.
The accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety and Maverick County Sheriff’s Department.
