18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer Rolls Over on Loop 480 Underneath Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 2

A single 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer rolled over on Loop 480 underneath the City of Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 2 at approximately 6 P.M. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, as the driver luckily walked away with only minor injuries.

The 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer was carrying some type of sand-related material which partially spilled on Loop 480, requiring City of Eagle Pass Emergency Responders to clean up the debris.

The City of Eagle Pass Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the rollover accident.

Loop 480 near Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 2 was closed for a few hours while law enforcement investigated the accident and EMS attended to the minor injuries of the driver at the scene of the accident.

The license plate of the 18 Wheeler Tractor is from Mexico.  The rollover accident occurred adjacent to the City of Eagle Pass Municipal Golf Course.

The 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer rollover accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The name of the driver has not been released as of press time.
