18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer Loaded With Watermelons Rolls Over On Loop 480

An 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer loaded with freshly harvested watermelons rolled over on Loop 480 near Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 2 at approximately 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 16, 2017, almost at the exact location of a previous single tractor-trailer roll over that occurred on June 14th.
The driver of the 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer suffered minor injuries. The roll over was a single vehicle accident on Loop 480 adjacent to the Eagle Pass Municipal Golf Course near the Eagle Pass International Bridge No. 2.
The accident occurred on a curve of Loop 480 similar to the June 14th roll over accident, possibly the 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer loads shifted on the curve causing the roll over accidents.
The rolled-over 18 Wheeler Tractor-Trailer has license plates from Mexico similar to the June 14th tractor-trailer.
The Eagle Pass Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the roll over accident.
Loop 480 was closed momentarily while the accident scene was cleared up of all the spilled watermelons on the roadway and the accident was being investigated.
The roll over accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
