Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys Elects 2017 Officers

The Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys elected its 2017 Officers at its May 2, 2017 meeting, announced President Dalila Paxton of the Federal Public Defenders. The Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys is a non-profit association of attorneys who are licensed to practice federal law in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, in Del Rio, Texas.
Elected as new Officers for 2017 include Edgar Juarez of Eagle Pass, Texas as President, Sostenes Mireles of Del Rio, Texas as President-Elect, Ricardo E. Calderon of Eagle Pass, Texas as Vice-President, Joseph Cordova of Del Rio, Texas as Treasurer, and Bianca Del Rio of Del Rio, Texas as Secretary.
Outgoing 2016 Officers include Dalila Paxton of Del Rio, Texas as President, Edgar Juarez of Eagle Pass, Texas as President-Elect, Joseph Cordova of Del Rio, Texas as Treasurer, and Sostenes Mireles of Del Rio, Texas as Secretary.
The Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys promotes the highest standards of ethics and federal law practice while serving the communities of the Del Rio Division of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, said Paxton. The federal bar association awards annually scholarships to deserving high school students within the Del Rio Division, promotes law day, provides monthly continuing legal education seminars for attorneys, and hosts an annual banquet dinner where it awards its Del Rio Division Lawyer of the Year Award and annual high school scholarship recipients.
The new Officers of the association will be installed at its annual banquet in June of 2017, said Paxton.
