Eight Eagle Pass FFA Teams Advancing to State
(Press Release) Following an impressive display at District Contest, the Eagle Pass FFA Chapter traveled to Robstown to compete in the Area X Career Development Events (CDEs). Career Development Events encourages members to apply what they learned for a future career in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) field. Students competed in a wide range of CDEs including Entomology, Milk Quality and Products, Floriculture, Farm Business Management, Livestock, Poultry, and Vet Science. In addition, Meats, Horse, Dairy Cattle Judging and Wildlife teams competed this month at the Area level. Congratulations to all teams that advanced to state. The Entomology team (Gerardo Molina, Daniela Molina, Amanda Martinez, Armando Martinez, and Ashley Martinez) placed 2nd at Area and will travel to Lubbock to compete with the Plant Identification team (Eduardo De La Garza, Sebastian Adan, Jazmin Guerra, Orlando Nava, Jose Samaniego, Gerardo Galindo, Chance Perez, and Gunner Purcell), Ag Communications team (Caitlyn Gamino, Keren Munoz, Hannah Wauson, and Shawnee Betancourt), and Agronomy team (Alex Flores, Chris Aza, Orlando Nava, and Annmarie Aza). The Farm Business team placed 2nd and will travel to Huntsville to compete (Karyna Mejia, Jose De Luna, Gerardo Galindo, Ytzel Aguilar, and Julieta Leija De Leon) along with the Forage Team (Chris Aza, Matthew Fuentes, Eduardo De La Garza, Orlando Nava, and Annmarie Aza). Milk Quality & Products placed 1st and will travel to Tarleton to compete (Eduardo De La Garza, Sebastian Adan, Daniel Brack, and Gunner Purcell) along with Dairy Cattle Judging (Jose De Luna, Karyna Mejia, Annmarie Aza, and Lyanna Martinez).
