Brackettville, TX Police Chief Javier Ibanez terminated by City Council
The City of Bracketville, Texas Chief of Police Javier Ibanez was terminated by the City Council after going into Executive Session and coming out into Open Session on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, on a unanimous vote.
Police Chief Javier Ibanez served less than a year in that position after being appointed when former Bracketville Police Chief Cordelia Mendeke resigned.
According to residents of Brackettville, local citizens complained about Police Chief Javier Ibanez to City Council members regarding his performance of his duties and responsibilities.
The Brackettville City Council did not provide a statement on their reasons for terminating Police Chief Javier Ibanez.
