Terri Contreras named Chief Executive Officer of Maverick County Hospital District

The Maverick County Hospital District (MCHD) Board of Directors unanimously selected MCHD Chief Financial Officer Terri Contreras as the new Chief Executive Officer of the local hospital district at a special board meeting held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Second Floor Conference Room of the MCHD Offices located at 3406 Bob Rogers Drive in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Contreras had previously served 13 years as the Chief Financial Officer of the Maverick County Hospital District prior to her selection as Chief Executive Officer and a total of 18 years overall with the local hospital district.

Contreras was selected from over 70 applicants for the position. Contreras’ selection as CEO concludes the MCHD CEO search process which began in January of this year when former CEO Elcira Bares announced her retirement to the Board.
